Nazarene Compassionate Ministries

Works to support local churches around the world in their efforts to actively live compassion as a lifestyle.

Following the example of Jesus, NCM partners with local congregations around the world to clothe, shelter, feed, heal, educate, and live in solidarity with those who suffer under oppression, injustice, violence, poverty, hunger, and disease.

NCM exists in and through the Church of the Nazarene to proclaim the gospel to all people in word and deed.

Projects through NCM are added and adjusted on a consistent basis. You can visit the Projects Page on the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries website for a list of all current projects.

Resources can be found here to help you promote NCM in your local church.

Things to consider for your congregation include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the NCM Christmas Project through awareness, praying and giving

  • Promoting NCM's Child Sponsorship

  • Committing to pray for one, or more, of the areas of need

  • Taking an offering for one of the current areas of greatest need

(Offering envelopes can be found on the resources page)

SEA: CAMBODIA MEDICAL AID

Cambodian pastors, leaders, and their families serve the Lord with passion and determination to reach their neighbors, villages, and communities with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Most of them are bi-vocational, serving their local churches and also working as farmers and fishermen, so they can provide their families with the basic needs of food, water, and housing. Due to the lack of clean and accessible drinking water, lack of proper hygiene and sanitation, hot weather, as well as the age of many of our pastors and leaders, they can easily become sick or suffer with illnesses that require medicine or medical treatment. When this happens, they suffer in silence or often go without treatment, because of their lack of funds and the high costs of going to visit a doctor. Because they do not have the ability to pay for medicine, surgeries, scans, treatment, or check-ups, their pain, illnesses, diseases, and injuries go untreated, sometimes resulting in death.

Giving to this project helps pastors and leaders to faithfully continue to be obedient to the call of God, instead of having to decide between buying rice to feed their families or using their money for medical treatment. By giving to Cambodia Medical Aid, you can help pastors, leaders, and their spouses protect their health, treat their illnesses, purchase medicine, and receive diagnostic scans and X-rays that will help them determine how to have a better quality of life. Thank you for being willing to be a part of what God is doing through faithful Nazarene brothers and sisters in Christ in Cambodia! We are one family in Christ and it takes all of us working together to see the mission of God accomplished in Cambodia and around the world!
